About Us – Book Directly with the Owners
Welcome to Vakantiehuis Flevoland. We are Abel Zeilstra and Joyce Zeilstra-Vos, and since 2018 we have been the owners of holiday home De Buytenplaets and holiday villa ’t Buytenhuys in Zeewolde.
When you book with us, you book directly with the owners. No anonymous booking platform and no distant owner, but personal contact with the people who know the holiday homes and are personally involved in your stay.
Everything should be well organised before you arrive and throughout your stay. You can contact us with practical questions about the houses, but we are also happy to share tips and ideas for activities in Zeewolde and the surrounding area.

Personal Contact, from Booking to Your Stay
When you book directly with us, you know who you are dealing with. Do you have a question before arrival about the layout of the house, the facilities, the needs of your group or things to do in the area? You can ask us directly.
We like to welcome our guests personally and give them a short tour of the holiday home. This means you immediately know where everything is and can start enjoying your stay.
We Know Our Holiday Homes
We know De Buytenplaets and ’t Buytenhuys inside and out. That may sound obvious, but with many holiday accommodations, the owner has little or no direct involvement in the guest’s stay.
With us, it is different. We know how the houses are arranged, which facilities are available and what may be important to different types of groups. This means we can answer practical questions before your arrival and help you decide which of our two holiday homes is the best fit for your group.
For Families, Friends and Groups
Our holiday homes are suitable for families, several generations travelling together, groups of friends and teams. Every group is different and has different needs.
A family with children may be looking for plenty of space, a large garden and things to do nearby. A group of adults may want to know whether there are enough bedrooms and bathrooms. A team may be looking for a combination of staying together, enjoying activities and having time and space to talk or work together.
Because you are in direct contact with us, we can help you think through these practical details before your stay.
Family Weekends and Team Stays
The spacious houses and the surroundings of Zeewolde offer plenty of possibilities for a family weekend or a stay with a team.
For teams, staying in a holiday home can also be an enjoyable alternative to a hotel or the traditional corporate retreat: everyone stays under one roof, with space to eat together, relax, enjoy activities and, when needed, sit down for a meeting or brainstorming session.
